Emma
Counsellor
"Hi, my name is Emma and I’m a Person-Centred Counsellor.
The main theory behind Person-Centred counselling is that every individual is the expert in their own life – nobody else can say what is right or wrong for you, because only you are living your life.
However, you may not feel like the expert in your life right now. For any number of reasons you may be feeling depressed, confused, angry, fearful, frustrated – as a counsellor, my job is to listen to you and help you work through your feelings, so that you can better understand your situation and identify the right way to move forward.
I work with a conscious awareness of intersectionality and how gender, sexuality, ethnicity, age, religion, disability and socio-economic class can impact people’s lives and how they are treated in the world. I accept everyone as they are, no matter where you come from or how you identify, and no matter what difficulties you’re currently facing.

"As an integrative counsellor, I will help you by:
• encouraging you to explore your thoughts and feelings
• working with you to help reflect on any unhelpful beliefs you are struggling with
• teaching you new skills and helpful coping strategies
• guiding you towards your goals
• building your self confidence
• exploring your values in order to create meaning
• practicing acceptance techniques for improved peace of mind
I use the modality of Person Centred approach – meaning creating a safe space for you to process your thoughts and feelings without judgment and make your own choices to help support you to lead the life you want. I provide a bespoke service therefore if your needs indicate a CBT style of approach would be helpful or further reflection into your family dynamics and history then we would discuss and explore these therapeutic options.
I have specialised in helping individuals (18+) with their relationship issues, those experiencing anxiety, bereavement counselling and LGBTQ+ issues.

"As a person-centred counsellor, I will help you by encouraging you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, non-judgmental space. Kevin
Counsellor
"Hi, my name is Kevin.
I understand that the first step is difficult, but please feel assured that I offer a non-judgmental, compassionate, and confidential safe space.
My approach to therapy is integrative, meaning I use more than one therapeutic modality to suit each person's unique sense of self. I am a person-centred therapist at the core. However, I blend in psychodynamic and cognitive behaviour therapy, as I believe that one therapeutic approach does not always suit different life experiences, genders, cultures, sexualities, and different perspectives.
I will work with you to unearth your subconscious actions, thoughts and behaviours. I work with depression, anxiety, sexuality, trauma, PTSD, stress, abuse, grief, relationship and attachment problems. I am also advanced gender, sexuality, relationship and diversity (GSRD) trained. I have extensive training and experience working with all sexualities, identities and gender dysphoria.
My training and experience have taught me that every human being is unique. Each individual has had different childhood experiences and received societal expectations/messages that can limit and damage a person's personal growth.

" I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm and relationship difficulties. I also support clients who have experienced emotional neglect, difficult family dynamics, or long-standing patterns that affect their confidence and sense of self. I offer a calm and supportive space to explore life’s challenges, deepen self-understanding, and make sense of past and present experiences, so you can find your own way forward. In sessions, we’ll explore what’s going on for you, notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck, including how you relate to yourself and others. Amazing service provided
I had the privilege of having Amy as my counsellor. Having Amy as my counsellor to work through my trauma, she was easy to talk to and patient with when it was hard for me to express things. Amy gave me the ability to learn different techniques in the time I spent through online sessions that was flexible to my schedule. Thank you Amy for everything you have done for me during my sessions
Help and supported
I was in a really rough place at a time and I was helped so much and I’ve learned so much about myself and the necessary tools to help myself in the future.Thank you for helping me at my lowest.
Learning about boundaries with Amy
In the past 24 weeks, I’ve learnt so much valuable information. I was in such a low place where I didn’t even realise my own value, where I was having dark thoughts and my self-esteem was on the floor. I cannot thank this amazing charity enough for providing me with the support I needed, and the fact it is free is such a blessing that I will be forever grateful for. Amy was brilliant. So professional, supportive, helpful, caring and knowledgable throughout. She has taught me so much that I will carry through the rest of my life. Thank you for everything
Counselling has helped me so much!
I have just finished 12 sessions of councelling with Heidi and it has been fantastic. I have grown so much as a person over these weeks. She has helped me see things in different ways as well as helped me realise how many area of my life I can gain control of. I have grown in confidence and feel I can make changes to my life when I want to.
sexuality and discover vast topic counselling
I had the privilege of being assigned to Richard as my counsellor, and I can confidently say he is the best counsellor I’ve ever had. He went above and beyond, extending my sessions every time he saw how much I was in need. Richard always listened to me carefully and patiently, creating a safe and non-judgmental space for me to open up.
With his guidance, I was able to address deeply personal topics, including accepting myself and exploring issues around my sexuality. I come from a strict cultural background where being yourself is often looked down upon, and I never thought I’d be able to say the word ‘gay’—but now I can, thanks to Richard.
He helped me work through past trauma, secondary trauma, and the importance of building healthy, balanced relationships. Richard’s support has truly been life-changing, and I am so grateful for the progress I’ve made with his help. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
