New and much improved ground floor space at Pride House re-opens at Rainbow Oasis. ♥ Neurodiverse and Proud launches.
January 2024
Beyond Boundaries launches as new name for Immigrant Group to be more inclusive to those who were born in the U.K. with a strong cultural or religious background. ♥ Building work starts on the ground floor of Pride House thanks to funding from B&Q, Collins Aerospace Wolverhampton and Team Lewis.
November 2023
Community Action Team (CAT) launches.
October 2023
Nick and Alex successful in applying for the Hub Coordinators position.
September 2023
Creative Writing launches. ♥ LGBT+ Learning Disability group launches. ♥ B&Q volunteers decorate upstairs shared space turning it into a rainbow coloured oasis!
August 2023
Kelly Walker-Reed announced as successful applicant of CEO position.
July 2023
Recruitment process starts, initially looking for a CEO. ♥ Board Game Group launches. ♥ Stitch n B*tch launches.
June 2023
Wolverhampton see's Pride return with its biggest event yet! ♥ Pride Afterglow launches to include a full programme of activities in Pride House on the day of Pride.
May 2023
WLGBT+ are successful in applying for Reaching Communities funding through The National Lottery. £210,000 awarded to support the charity over the next 3 years which includes taking on staff and improving services!
April 2023

Thanks to funding from Black Country Active - Self Defence classes and Squats and Giggles Keep - Fit launch. ♥ Online yoga launches thanks to funding from Health Exchange. ♥ Wolverhampton Pride Afterglow activities announced thanks to funding from City of Wolverhampton Council's EDI forum.

Inclusive Carols 2022 is a huge success at Gorgeous Nightclub. ♥ First BIG LGBT Christmas party takes place at The Prince Albert. ♥ Gender Diverse Social group launches

Sex Positive Discussions launches, delivered by resident sexologist and sex therapist in training Kate

LesBiDo launches to offer a safe and welcoming social group for LGBT+ women - delivered by Kate & Sue. ♥ Work starts on a brand new sensory/changing room funded by Neighbourly through B&Q. ♥ Crafty sessions launch - social craft sessions to integrate our immigrant group with the wider community, delivered by long standing volunteer Tracy.
September 2022
Treatment room opens to offer safe and inclusive, reduced cost, holistic therapies to the LGBT+ community and allies. ♥ WLGBT+ finalist at National Diversity Awards - Community organisations category - attended by trustees Kelly & Lucy and lead counsellor Tommy. ♥ First Immigrant group outing takes place at Birmingham Pride - led by Piotr and Rafael.

Immigration group launches. ♥ Upcycling event takes place to decorate furniture for planned coffee shop. ♥ Building gets renamed as Pride House.

Bear group launches. ♥ Multi-treatment room work starts at Skinner House. ♥ WLGBT+ nominated for Community Organisation award with National Diversity Awards 2022. ♥ Public consultation 2022 takes place.
March 2022
Big birthday quiz at The Prince Albert. ♥ Charity takes on new building space at Skinner House, School St, Wolverhampton. ♥ WLGBT+ Inclusive counselling room officially opened by Tommy Silvester at Skinner House. ♥ Stride with Pride walking group launches.
December 2021
Online Social groups start for gay and bi men, gay and bi women, gender diverse folk and people of colour. ♥ Stride with Pride walking group launches. ♥ Yoga moved to Gorgeous nightclub. ♥ Inclusive carol service takes place in association with Wolverhampton Methodist Circuit.
October 2021
Volunteer recruiting starts. ♥ Rainbow Oasis launches at Compton Care Retail Plus Store.
March 2021
Organisation receives charity status and becomes known as Wolverhampton LGBT+. ♥ First ever public consultation takes place.
August 2020
Yoga restarts in person at The Prince Albert. ♥ Counselling restarts in person. ♥ New building identified to move services into one inclusive space.
March 2020
Covid-19 pandemic forces in person activities to stop. ♥ Yoga moves to online only. ♥ Counselling moves to phone and video call only.
October 2019
Counselling service starts accepting trainee counsellors to see more clients.
March 2019
Board of trustees developed. ♥ Small pot of funding awarded to Wolverhampton LGBT+ Alliance to start a free yoga group for the LGBT+ community. ♥ Tommy Silvester starts a small LGBT+ counselling service at Paycare building. ♥ New website launched.

Kelly Walker-Reed takes over as Chair. The group is known as Wolverhampton LGBT+ Alliance.
2016
Wolverhampton Homes start arranging a meet up every 2 months for organisations in the city to come together, discuss issues affecting the LGBT community and forward inclusion. Chaired by Ben Howley.
